JAC white paper paints V-C black The Joint Action Committee (JAC) of Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) employees and teachers today issued a white paper on the alleged acts of commission and omission by the varsity’s vice chancellor (V-C) Dr K S Aulukh. The development assumes significance as Dr Aulukh’s four-year term is due to end on March 31.
The JAC has alleged V-C’s involvement in corrupt practices and blatant the abuse of power. It further alleged that the V-C committed atrocities on hundreds of innocents employees and teachers of the varsity. Read The Whole Article
Govt to table white paper on PSU divestment New Delhi: The Government will come out with a comprehensive `white paper' (status report) on disinvestment in public sector units during the monsoon session of Parliament, the Minster of State for Finance, S S Palanimanickam said.
"The focus of the disinvestment policy has changed from the earlier one, emphasising strategic sale, to a broad based strategy encompassing the disinvestments of minority shareholding in profitable public sector units, while retaining at least 51 per cent shareholding and full management control with the Government," he said in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha here.
